This agreement continues to allow authorities to request the intervention of volunteer firefighters who respond to emergency situations throughout the state. Volunteer firefighters make up more than 30 percent of the local government`s available firefighters in California. Among the main terms of the agreement are fair and equitable reimbursement, transparency and ensuring the needs of California firefighters. The CFAA describes the reimbursement terms negotiated for local firefighter responses by the California Fire Service and Rescue Emergency Mutual Aid System. It allows the State of California and federal fire departments to use local fire personnel and equipment as well as emergency relief for the State of California and federal firefighters. This support is made possible through a partnership with the State of California with partners in the federal fire department, the California Fire Assistance Agreement (CFAA). This agreement was signed on 1 May and is valid until 31 December 2024. As the lassen County pork fire continues to threaten Lake Forest Estates and the Town of Susanville, supporting local fire departments is a critical aspect of the state`s ability to respond quickly and effectively. The wildfire, which began Saturday, July 18, is currently on fire in the state`s area of jurisdiction, and firefighters and fire trucks in Alameda County and Contra Costa County are on the front lines and helping.
„The California Fire Assistance Agreement is an important instrument for the use of mutual fire assets in the event of an emergency,“ said Brian Marshall, State Fire and Rescue Chief. „This agreement helps keep Californians safe by allowing firefighter personnel and local government resources to be pre-positioned to deal with critical weather events such as red flag conditions, Santa Ana winds, and/or heavy rains.“ „We appreciate all the hard work done by cfaA committee members to conclude this important agreement,“ said Mark Ghilarducci, director of the California Governor`s Office of Emergency Services. 3650 Schriever Ave, Mather, CA 95656, USA The objects exhibited in the agreement will continue to be checked, modified or added by the CFAA committee during the term of the agreement. . . .
